Modern Family alum and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s real estate portfolio is officially one New York property slimmer. After seven years of ownership, the performer and his husband, lawyer Justin Mikita, have sold their Gramercy Park one bedroom for $1.4 million, according to the New York Post.

The couple first listed the 900 square foot property in 2018 for $1.495 million, but pulled the listing seven months later, holding onto it for another three years before putting it back on the market for $1.449 million this January. Shortly after first listing the Gramercy Park space in 2018, Ferguson and Mikita purchased a considerably larger two bedroom property in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood for $3 million. The move proved well timed, as they welcomed their first child in July of 2020.

Though the family seems to spend most of their time in Los Angeles (they spent $8.7 million on a mansion in Encino just last year), owning a home in New York is of the utmost importance to them. “I feel very at home here,” Ferguson told Architectural Digest of his relationship to the city during a 2020 tour of the Chelsea pad. “I was strictly a theater actor before moving to Los Angeles, so New York sort of feels like my true home.” Similarly colorful to the Chelsea apartment, Ferguson and Mikita had their pre-war Gramercy Park home done entirely in comfortable blue tones complemented by all white finishes.
