[The] user-friendly app [made it] very easy to place a claim. Fast response claims. Saved a ton also. —Misty Farley via Google Reviews

Finally got my garage door repaired. I appreciate the help that Aaron gave me. He was courteous, proactive, and responsive. My overall experience was less than satisfactory, however in the end they upheld their responsibilities and corrected the mistake. I still do not think this process should have taken [seven] weeks to get a resolution. I’m thankful this was not an emergency repair. —Niki Prieto via Google Reviews

If you have a plan, don’t expect any emergency services… they just dispatch your claim to companies and whoever picks up the job picks it up and you deal with scheduling them. If you have an emergency and it’s not a 24/7 company that picks up your job, oh well. The plans also only cover parts and not labor so keep that in mind. —Lauren Piscitelli via Google Reviews

Norman was easy to speak with and very helpful. Definitely not “salesy.” —Rich B via Google Reviews

Our Recommendation

Liberty Home Guard is an excellent choice for any homeowner looking for a home warranty provider that covers more than the run-of-the-mill built-in systems and appliances. Though it’s easy to find a provider to protect your home’s HVAC and kitchen equipment, not all home warranty companies offer coverage for pro-series appliances, lighting fixtures, wine coolers, or other similar items in your home.

With LHG, you can choose from the standard base packages for your typical built-in systems and appliances, plus select up to 37 optional add-ons to customize your coverage for your home’s specific needs.

Liberty Home Guard FAQ

How We Chose the Top Home Warranty Providers

Our team reviewed and researched dozens of home warranty providers, thoroughly analyzed sample agreements, and identified customer pain points based on customer-review analysis and interviews with industry experts.

During this process, we determined that the most critical aspects of a home warranty company include available service plans and add-ons, depth of coverage, plan cost, industry reputation, customer support infrastructure, and additional features. We also focused on the ability to choose your own contractor, upgrade your coverage package, transfer your plan to another owner, and cover roof leaks, high-end appliance brands, ceiling and exhaust fans, and faucets and fixtures.

Our research supported that plan coverage should carry the most weight, with customer support as the second-most important factor. Industry reputation, plan availability, and additional features were rated equally. Therefore, we determined that price range, while worth considering, should not be the primary basis for choosing a home warranty provider for your home’s needs.
