After just a few years in her custom built Encino, California, home, singer and host of an eponymous daytime talk show Kelly Clarkson has officially sold the property for $8.24 million. The sale of the 10,108 square foot dwelling puts her at a loss from the $8.5 million she paid for it in 2018. Clarkson first listed the house for $9.995 million in May of 2020.
The eight bedroom, nine full and two half bathroom farmhouse-style mansion makes an immediate impression, not only because of its size, but because of its distinct wood paneled exterior. The interior of the home displays a variety of materials, including handmade wooden barn doors, blended brick flooring, and a range of playful tiling used in the bathrooms and surrounding the home’s numerous fireplaces. While there’s certainly no shortage of space indoors, the expansive backyard, which features a large lawn space, full outdoor kitchen, lounge area, pool and spa, certainly beckons.
The property also contains a decadent two story guest house with two bedrooms and a full kitchen, making it perfectly suited for long term or short term visitors. In the main house, the home theater, game room, fitness center, and temperature controlled wine room make the property all the more appealing.

The home was listed by Chris Corkum and Linda Brende of Compass and the buyer was represented by Craig Knizek at The Agency. Just a few months ago, the former American Idol winner and current host on The Voice, purchased a home not too far away in the San Fernando Valley enclave of Toluca Lake, and sold her lakefront mansion in Tennessee.
